The Holiday season is in full swing...presents to wrap, eggnog to sip and halls to deck. Where is an atmo addict to go to unwind and revel in some good ole winter fun? Winter World, of course!

Martin Judd has recently revamped his winter wonderland for the new Atmosphere plugin, so you can enjoy all the fun and excitement of this ski lodge setting. You enter Winter World upstairs in a room at the lodge, as you make your way down, you can toast your hands by the fire and play a few tunes on the jukebox to get yourself warmed up and ready to hit the slopes.

The viewpoint landscaped mountains in Winter World create the perfect setting for all the exciting winter activites awaiting you. Another lovely feature of this world is the ability to choose the time of day..you can synch it with your real time, watch the sun come up, or create a nice dusk setting by simply moving the slider in the control panel. You'll also find a duration control in the control panel which you can use to change the speed of the sleigh ride.....that's right!..Santa's reindeer are waiting outside to take you on a lovely tour. Tip: The lower the number, the faster the ride, you'll want to go no lower than about 25 for a smooth sleigh ride.

As with all mountain lodges, there are many fun and frosty activities to keep you busy. You can become a world class skater in the skating rink, boogy on down the slopes with your skis or snowboard, even try the ski jump if you're brave enough. Each of these activities provides you with a matching avatar, outfited in the perfect gear (saving you a trip to the lodge store! lol). Tips: You'll want to open your preferences and go to maximum velocity for an exciting trip down the slopes. You'll also want to be in 3rd person view. After you've gotten down the mountain, and are just starting to dread that long hike back up..never fear..you'll note the chair lift which will scoop you up as you approach it and give you a nice ride back up to the top.

You will definitely want to pay a visit, hot cocoa by your side, after a long day of holiday shopping. And don't forget that you can soak those tired muscles in the heated pool at the back of the lodge after you're all skied out. Martin has really done a wonderful job of recreating the setting and activities that keep real ski lodges booked solid this time of year. Winter World is just the place to find a little holiday magic.
